The Merseyside Ladies Club was formed in 1957 to promote the Conservative Party amongst like minded women. Founding members included Dame Guinevere Tilney, wife of Sir John Tilney, MP for Liverpool Wavertree (1950 -1974) and Cllr Nancy Papworth, Councillor for Church Ward on Liverpool CC. Sixty eight years have passed since its formation and many famous politicians have addressed the membership.
The Ladies meet at the Liner Hotel, Lord Nelson Street, Liverpool, L3 5QB (beside Lime St Station) and enjoy a 3 course lunch before listening and questioning the Guest Speaker.
The season starts on Friday 3rd October, we meet at noon and Lunch is served at 12.30. The cost is £25.
The Speaker will be Councillor Michael Prendergast, the Sefton Group Leader and Conservative spokesman for Southport. Gentlemen are welcome.
