If you go down to the coastal path today, you’ll hardly believe your eyes. Don’t come if you want to get away from it all “ to explore 22 miles of unique tranquil coastline. Sefton Council are the custodians of this special place that has evolved over thousands of years”
But now it is neglected. You are barred.
Mounds of sand now cover large sections of our coastal path making it inaccessible to residents and visitors.
- Don’t come if you have a wheelchair
- Don’t come if you have a mobility scooter
- Don’t come if you have a buggy
- Don’t come if you want to cycle
Local Conservatives would address this problem as a matter of urgency if elected at the May 2026 Local Elections.
We need to reclaim the coastline and role back the tide of neglect by Labour run Sefton Council.
