On Sunday 14th November 2021, we joined our fellow constituents to remember all of those who have given their life in service to our country and to protect our daily freedoms.

Cllr. Denise Dutton said that she was “honoured to lay a wreath on behalf of Formby Conservatives” when she attended the service at Holy Trinity Church. A beautiful service on a mild and calm autumn day.

Our Chairman, Katie Burgess, attended the cenotaph at Alexandra Park, Crosby. She laid a wreath among the many and said that she was “honoured to do so as her first time as Chairman at SCCA”, adding “I laid the wreath next to that from one of our opposing parties and among so many from different walks of life and organisations. It’s so heartening to see such unity between us in our shared respects”

Town Cllr. Ken Hughes and Town Cllr. Thomas Hughes, along with our Dept. Chairman Matthew Lock attended the service in Maghull. Thomas said “I had the Honour of laying a wreath on behalf of Sefton East Conservatives at the Maghull Lychgate, St. Andrew’s Church. Lest we forget, those who fought for our freedom and liberties, we take for granted today.”

Several members of our executive were also proud to pay their respects and attend the very moving celebrations in Thornton.

We shall never forget.

Sefton’s disastrous Labour council has been found out once again. This time talking rubbish - about rubbish.

They have blamed the huge backlog in bin collection services on high levels of staff sickness among drivers, which on some days have reached 27 per cent.
