Parish & Town Councils in the Sefton Central County Constituency

The Sefton Central Constituency contains 1 Town Council and 9 Parish Councils. Many of the councils pre-date the formation of Sefton Borough Council in 1974 by decades and contain very historic villages and buildings.

For example Sefton & Lunt Parish contains St.Helen's Church (Sefton Church) the only Grade I listed building in the borough of Sefton, the church was consecrated in 1170. Aintree South Ward contains Valley House built in the 17th century as well as Mill Square with two of the cottages being built in 1765.
