The Government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has launched a consultation into protecting trees and woodland. This particularly includes consultation into the protection of street trees.

Every ward in the Sefton Borough has a devolved budget, a small pot of money that can be used to address local problems within the community. In Blundellsands local Councillors still have over £10,000 in ward funds laying idle.

Three years after this Council spent £40,000 on a Planning Study into Crosby Village little has happened.

Carnegie Library Building, College Road, Crosby

In January 2018 Sefton Council received a bid from a consortium of local business people to lease the former Carnegie Library and convert it into a restaurant and community hub.

This Council has dragged its feet by taking more than 12 months to evaluate the bid to re-use this building.
